Day 1: Getting Back on Track

As the titles says, I'm coming back. I've been in a five day slump, uncertain as to what to do now that I've finished school. College can do that to a lady. It sucks you in for five whole years, and when it's time to go, ya just don't know what to expect. So I moved to Chicago.

But I've done this, seen that. Eight weeks of Second City classes, and now I'm finally on my own. And it's time that I get my act together. I know what I got to do, but instead of talking, it's best to just execute and make use of my life.

I'm an actress. A performer still searching where to go, although I feel that I've known what to do all along. As for this blog, I'm using it as a motivator to get moving! No longer do I have a professor handing me an assignment to pick out and memorize monologues, or a list of plays that I can audition for in one evening. This is the real world, and I'm dusting my skirt off to show Chicago what I'm made of.

I'm listing out my goals, and sticking to them. Without goals, I'd have nothing to write about...and I kinda want to have something to post. So here it goes *deep breath*:

1. Find, research, beat out, and memorize monologues
2. Buy headshots
3. Get an agent
4. Get my ass out there!

It's a short list, but there's a whole lot more to it. Signing off, Margo Polo Solo
